Pankit Thakker aka Dr. Atul broke his leg while on shoot, and is now seen nursing in a wheel chair in the serial too...

Dr. Atul of Dill Mill Gayye is nowadays trying hard to woo Dr. Anjali, but gets into problems every time he tries his luck there!!

But this time, Pankit Thakker faced a bigger problem as he fractured his leg when he was trying to impress his on screen love Dr. Anjali. “There was a scene where I had to climb a pipe to go to Anjali’s room; but unfortunately fell down and broke my leg. The doctor has advised me to take two weeks of rest”, says the actor.

But the actor is not going on a break as the creative team has changed the script to accommodate Pankit even with his broken leg. “I will continue shooting, as Dr. Atul is shown with a fractured leg in the show. I will be seen in a wheel chair till I get alright”, states Pankit.

Well, as we wish Pankit a speedy recovery, we hope Dr. Atul too gets his share of luck when it comes to girls….

When Shraddha Nigam was asked how many bands has she caught Karan with, prompt came the reply, “He gets so many friendship bands that I just cannot keep count”. When asked about his best friends the handsome hunk replies very candidly, “Yes I have many and Shraddha is amongst my best friends. Above all, she is my girl friend too”.

Shraddha and Karan are seeing each other for long now. When Karan was questioned if friendship is a must for love he informed, “Well for us it was totally different. We first fell in love, then became good friends.”

The best part of their relationship is that, both never fail to compliment each other wherever we meet them. It was the same even this time when Shraddha was asked to tell about some good qualities of Karan. “I can go on and on if I start on this subject. He is very patient, caring, understanding and sensible and also a sensitive person. Also he is the best person I have come across,” says Shraddha laughingly. All of 20 and Sukirti Kandpal is already being courted by one of the most wanted men on small screen.

From playing the lead in Jersey No 10 to being the new Riddhima in Dil Mill Gaye, Sukriti’s life is on a roll. She’s not working round the clock and has chosen to devote time to doing one show instead. Not for her zooming from one set to another. “I have just started working as Riddhima. I want to do justice to this show. I want to get settled in the show. Anyway, I don’t have the time for another show at the moment,” she says.

Replacing Shilpa Anand wasn’t much of a challenge for her. “It was something new for me. I went ahead with it. I am glad the audience has accepted me. Even my co-stars have made me feel comfortable. They never compare me to Shilpa. Karan Singh Grover with whom I have the maximum scenes has also helped me a lot. Even the script was moulded, so I got the chance to build up a chemistry with Karan.”

She has no problems when people call her by her reel name. “I am absolutely fine if people call me Riddhima. I think it is a good feeling if the audience connects you with your character.”

If not an actor, Sukirti would have been a lawyer or social worker. “I have done a lot of social work. I always want to help the needy and enjoy doing it too.”

This fun-loving and jovial girl has been a school topper and has a bright academic career ahead by the looks of it. “I have been a topper for a few years. But I couldn’t continue to keep up to it in the last year as I started acting. I feel it is very important for a person to study as an educated person looks at things differently, is more sharp, sensible and has his own ideology,” she says.

'Aamir Khan said I did a fantastic job in Jaane Tu'

Those of you who have seen the film Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na could not have missed the guy who played Genelia D'Souza's love interest. If Ayaz Khan looked familiar, it is because he has done more than 100 television commercials and 250 press advertisements!
And now with the film's success, he has become even more visible. "I am getting messages from my well wishers, friends and even from people I do not know, congratulating me on my performance. I am very lucky that people liked my role," says a beaming Ayaz.

Ayaz plays the role of Sushant, Aditi's (Genelia) boyfriend, who is known as Mr Charming amongst his friends. "It was a challenge to portray a character which starts off as a happy-go-lucky character but slowly takes a serious turn developing attributes like possessiveness and some other gray shades," says Ayaz, who is also doing a show on Star One titled Dlil Mill Gayee where he plays a doctor.

"My role in this show is more of a comic character. A doctor who is romantic -- quite different from my character in Jaane Tu," he adds.

But how did he bag the prized role in Aamir Khan's production?

"When I came to know that Abbas (Tyrewalla) was directing a film, I sought an appointment and went over to meet him. After an initial discussion, we instantly hit it off and he selected me for the role of Sushant. He is a fantastic writer and an excellent director to work with," Ayaz says.

So how was his experience working with a perfectionist like Aamir?

"Before I started shooting for the movie, Aamir briefed me on the role and its significance despite a late entry in the movie. He described his expectations from me and also explained how to act in some scenes. I tried my best to follow his directives and meet his expectations. After the movie got over, we met at the premiere. He patted me on my back and said I did a fantastic job. That, to me, was a big compliment," recollects Ayaz who wants to continue being the guy next door despite his growing star status.

Shilpa Anand on differences with Production House...

Shilpa Anand, the face of Ridhima till a month back lashes out at the recent buzz that says she left the serial as she had many a problems with the production house...

Shilpa Anand’s exit from the popular show, Dill Mill Gayye left her fans heartbroken and bewildered. When the news of the actress’s departure was
broken, it was claimed that Shilpa was looking out to move to greener pastures, or in our terms, the lass had received an offer in a bollywood movie. However, a very reliable source reveals an entirely different reason for her exit to Dill Mill Gayye.

A well-placed source from the industry informs us, “Everybody was under the impression that Shilpa was leaving DMG because she received another offer, but actually, she had a lot of problems with the production house. The production house could not take her tantrums anymore. Many times, she would not turn up on the sets and did not have the decency to inform anybody. In fact, Siddharth Malhotra, Creative Director, Cinevistas, even went to her house to request her to come for the shooting, as the telecast date was near and there was no bank of episodes.”

Adding further, our sources say, “Though, the last straw was when Shilpa demanded a price hike. She asked for approximately Rs. 35,000 for a day, but when they told her that they would raise along with the others, she started throwing even more tantrums.” To confirm the news we caught up with Shilpa Anand, who rubbished the claim saying, “These are all just rumors. I wanted to move on with my life and why shouldn’t I? In addition, why would I have any issue related to money? Moreover, why would the production house let a star walk away for a mere sum of 35,000? The producer did come to my house, but that was just because I was sick. I have left DMG with fond memories.”

A source from the production house on the condition of anonymity says, “Shilpa had some personal issues with Narendra, the Supervising Producer of the show. She clearly instructed everyone that if Narendra was present on the sets, she would not work. To comply with her wishes, Narendra did not turn up on the sets for almost a month and a half.”

The very popular STAR One show, Dill Mill Gayye has wedding bells ringing. But, before you all rejoice, it’s not everyone’s favorite Dr. Armaan and Dr. Riddhima who are tying the knot, but Dr. Shashank and sister Padma.

Shilpa Tulaskar, who plays the head nurse Padma and is Dr. Riddhima’s mother, has always harbored special feelings for Dr. Shashank, played by Mohnish Behl. And as they say, marriages are incomplete without music and dance. So to celebrate this joyous union we have the much-loved couple Armaan and Riddhima dancing to some of bollywood’s peppy numbers. Sources informed us “Karan and Sukriti performed the ‘fugdi’ (a traditional dance wherein two people hold each others hands and revolve around). While dancing, Sukriti lost her balance and almost fell, but thanks to Karan she did not hurt herself.” The six youngsters of the show were seen dancing on the bollywood number Yeh Gore Gore Se Chore from the movie Hum Tum, replicating the same scene with the girls Muskan, Anjali and Riddhima dancing and teasing Atul, Armaan and Rahul. The second song is a Dhol sequence.

When asked Sukriti Khandpal on her first experience shaking her leg, she says, “It was an amazing experience. I love to dance and I guess this is a very good platform for me.”

So with their elders tying the knot, will we see the much in love couple Armaan and Rddhima getting married in the near future too?

little vacation Karan and I had taken to Goa. It was for his birthday and every moment together spent was amazing.

If not an actor, you would be: That’s a tough one… I guess, earlier, I wanted to become a doctor, as my dad is a doctor. However, I’m not so sure. i would probably like to be a dancer as I love dancing too.

Your favorite sport: See, when I was a kid I was quite chubby. So the only sport I ever played was badminton. I’m not a cricket person either but yeah I can watch Karan play basketball a million times.

The best compliment you have received: A friend of mine used to call me virgin face. She said my face gave the impression that I was untouched and I felt it was the most amazing compliment I had ever received.

If you were the prime minister for one day, you would: Oh, I would make that one day last into many years because there is a lot you need to do for the country. However, in one day, I would probably clean up the country.

One quality you like in Karan: There are too many to count. However, I think one of the most important things that I like about him is that he is very simple and straight up. You know if given a problem, he does not go all analytical and get confused about it but just comes with a simple solution to it. I really value that quality in him.

Lastly, a message for your fans: You know I have this feeling that I have lost many of my fans because I am going out with Karan. (Laughs). They don't like me because I am his girlfriend and I just want to tell them that if they love him, they must love me because I really make him happy.

The negative articles that have come out are all fake & have been produced by the production team to make fans hate Shilpa & accept Sukirthi as Riddhima.

Shilpa does miss the show a lot & the only reason that she left was because she just could not take the stress anymore

I have spoken to many people from both star and cinevistaas. And Star have said its Cinevistaas responsibility

Cinevistaas had quoted that if the TRP's fall They will consider requesting her to come back to shoot the last few episodes. As DMG might go off air in august!

I was shocked by the articles but knowing how the media is they tend to spice up the truth.

Its all producers fault,they could not resolve their differences and are effecting the progression of such a nice show Dill Mill Gayye could have been a very long running show But they have just ruined it.
