The very popular STAR One show, Dill Mill Gayye has wedding bells ringing. But, before you all rejoice, it’s not everyone’s favorite Dr. Armaan and Dr. Riddhima who are tying the knot, but Dr. Shashank and sister Padma.
Shilpa Tulaskar, who plays the head nurse Padma and is Dr. Riddhima’s mother, has always harbored special feelings for Dr. Shashank, played by Mohnish Behl. And as they say, marriages are incomplete without music and dance. So to celebrate this joyous union we have the much-loved couple Armaan and Riddhima dancing to some of bollywood’s peppy numbers. Sources informed us “Karan and Sukriti performed the ‘fugdi’ (a traditional dance wherein two people hold each others hands and revolve around). While dancing, Sukriti lost her balance and almost fell, but thanks to Karan she did not hurt herself.” The six youngsters of the show were seen dancing on the bollywood number Yeh Gore Gore Se Chore from the movie Hum Tum, replicating the same scene with the girls Muskan, Anjali and Riddhima dancing and teasing Atul, Armaan and Rahul. The second song is a Dhol sequence.
When asked Sukriti Khandpal on her first experience shaking her leg, she says, “It was an amazing experience. I love to dance and I guess this is a very good platform for me.”
So with their elders tying the knot, will we see the much in love couple Armaan and Rddhima getting married in the near future too?

Your favorite sport: See, when I was a kid I was quite chubby. So the only sport I ever played was badminton. I’m not a cricket person either but yeah I can watch Karan play basketball a million times.
Your favorite movie dialogue: rishtein mein toh hum tumhare baap lagte hain, naam hai Shahenshah...
The best compliment you have received: A friend of mine used to call me virgin face. She said my face gave the impression that I was untouched and I felt it was the most amazing compliment I had ever received.
If you were the prime minister for one day, you would: Oh, I would make that one day last into many years because there is a lot you need to do for the country. However, in one day, I would probably clean up the country.
One quality you like in Karan: There are too many to count. However, I think one of the most important things that I like about him is that he is very simple and straight up. You know if given a problem, he does not go all analytical and get confused about it but just comes with a simple solution to it. I really value that quality in him.
Lastly, a message for your fans: You know I have this feeling that I have lost many of my fans because I am going out with Karan. (Laughs). They don't like me because I am his girlfriend and I just want to tell them that if they love him, they must love me because I really make him happy.

Shilpa does miss the show a lot & the only reason that she left was because she just could not take the stress anymore
I have spoken to many people from both star and cinevistaas. And Star have said its Cinevistaas responsibility
Cinevistaas had quoted that if the TRP's fall They will consider requesting her to come back to shoot the last few episodes. As DMG might go off air in august!
I was shocked by the articles but knowing how the media is they tend to spice up the truth.
Its all producers fault,they could not resolve their differences and are effecting the progression of such a nice show Dill Mill Gayye could have been a very long running show But they have just ruined it.
Shilpa, Karan, Sukirthi & the rest of the cast are not to blame Neither are Starone, Cinevistaas are the sole reason.

Pankit Thakkar Is All Set to Sizzle the 70 mm Screen
Pankit Thakkar, the adorable Dr. Atul of Dill Mill Gayye, is all set to sizzle the 70mm screen. The actor will be seen playing the lead role in the upcoming movie 'Zindagi Live'. The movie is based on mercy killing and revolves around a true incident that occurred in Orissa.
When asked the reason for accepting such a unique role, Pankit says,
“I took up this role mainly because I found the script really interesting. I was touched after listening to the story. The movie is based on mercy killing, something that takes place on a large scale in our country.”
He further adds,“I have always wanted to do something for the destitute and people suffering in India. I think this movie is the one opportunity for me to create awareness in the country about the unheard topic of mercy killing.”
The movie also stars Milind Gunaji, who plays the character of the father suffering from an incurable disease with Anupama Verma and Ragini Khanna playing his daughters.
We sure hope Pankit manages to convey the message of the horrors of mercy killing thru’ his movie.

I just love to eat. Taste is the main factor that attracts me most. If the food is tasty then I don’t look for other things in it. I specially prefer to have sea-foods.

Thai food is my favourite. I also love to have Italian and Greek dishes. And Indian also… (A laughter break) actually I love tasty food so there is nothing much to prefer.
Home-made food (Ghar Ka Khana) or outside food?
I don’t like ghar ka khana. So, whenever I have time, I just like to go out and taste foods from the road-side stalls and restaurants or any place possible.
Veg or non veg?
Of course non-veg. Though I have veg sometimes but non-veg is always welcome.

I take water like everyone but I love to drink Coca cola with any dish.

You already know, it is Coke. I actually drink almost a liter of Coke everyday.

I’m not regular in that business but I occasionally have it. And if I have to take sometimes I prefer to have wine and beer.

I tried once. Then I had ten kilos more than what I have now. There was some pressure and everything to force me to go on a diet. You know, even then I used to drink Coke in night so that nobody could see me drinking. But I loved having mango that time. Now my bodyweight is just 48, so I don’t need to go for diet.
Which would be the dish which you will not be able to resist?
Chocolate cakes. That’s the thing that you can place with vatata vada.
Karan Singh Grover in a New Avatar
The handsome and dashing Karan Singh Grover will be seen first time as an anchor in the new dance reality show on Star One titled Aaja Nach Ke Dikha…
After gaining immense popularity as Dr Armaan in Dill Mill Gaye, the chocolate boy Karan Singh Grover will now be seen in the role of anchor on STAR One's upcoming reality show.
A well placed source form the industry informs us, “Karan is finalized as the anchor and Shilpa Anand and Mona Singh have been been approached for STAR One's new reality show Aaja Nach Ke Dikha.” We immediately called up Mona Singh to know if she is anchoring but she instantly replied, “Well I was approached but it did not work out since I had personal problems."
Our source further informs us, “There are 7 guys and 7 girls of which some of them who have been approached are Gaurav Chopra, Mouni Roy, Amit Tondon, Ali Asgar and Manini De but I cant say anything about the concept right now” The telecast of the show is not yet decided but the tentative timings for the show are every Monday and Tuesday at 9.00 pm. We tried calling Karan Singh Grover to confirm the news with him, but he was unavailable for comments.

SUKIRTI"S INTERVIEW IN TODAY"S BOMBAY TIMES NEWSPAPER ::::
Sukirti Khandpal who took over the mantle of Dr Ridhima in Dill Mill Gaye from actress Shilpa Anand, is all smiles these days....
Ask her how it all happened and a very chirpy and excited Sukirti gushes, “Dill Mill Gaye happened a week back. I was already a part of the production, playing a role in Jersey No.10. I learnt that they were looking out for a replacement for Dr Ridhima’s character since Shilpa was quitting the show. I went ahead for the look test and the rest, as they say, is history!”
Replacing a character, who has been well accepted by the audience, is never easy. But Sukirti has a different take on this. “I look at this as a new role rather than as a replacement thing. I know it’s difficult for the audience to accept a new person in a particular role played by somebody else. But I’ll give it my best shot and hope the audience accepts and appreciates me as well,” she says.
Incidentally, this was one of the shows she regularly watched. “I’ve been an ardent viewer of the show as it used to come before my own. But little did I know that one day I would be part of it and that too playing the central character!
It has come as a big responsibility and I hope I live up to it!”Sukirti’s surely a TV serial buff. “I remember when Mihir’s character was killed in Kyunki... I actually cried!” she recounts. “Later there was a new face. Initially it was difficult as we kept comparing the new one to the old, but slowly the new one grew on us and we actually started thinking that he was perfect for the role,” she says.
Meanwhile, she’s getting accustomed to the new set up. “My co-actors have been really sweet to me especially Karan, who plays Dr Armaan. My first shot for the show was with him and he made me so comfortable; we had an immediate chemistry working there.”

Shilpa Finally Breaks her Silence
Shilpa Anand finally breaks her silence on her exit from Dill Mill Gayye. The actress who played Dr Riddhima the pop medical romance, says she quit to switch to films. She has already done one, Ikraar
There were rumours that she bid farewell because co-star Karan Singh was getting all
the attention. Anand laughs this off "Tell me, When does a cast member ever leave a show on good terms?"
No Invite
Why wasn't she at the press conference which announced the entry of her replacement. Sukriti Khandpal? Anand says its because the producers wanted to focus on the new Riddhima.
Probe a little and she lashes out. “Forget inviting me the press meet, they didn't even give me a farewell party.That's how they thank someone who gave their show such a boost."
Anand has complaints about the working condition, the far off sets and problems with taking days off`. Her co-stars would feign illness and bunk. Turns out the pay wasn't all that good either.
Glam quotient
coming back to Anand's film dreams, do telly stars ever make it big at the movies?
Agreed most don't, but Anand says that the other actresses don't get out their saas-bahu moulds...and aren't glamorous. "But I am not at all like Dr. Riddhima," she smiles.
